Q.
Can I run them through an inkjet or laser printer?
A. Yes we supply high-speed laser labels or inkjet
labels guaranteed A4 label paper, which is 100% compatible and can
be used for both applications. They will also work in most Photocopiers.
Q. Is your laser label A4 Label paper
environmentally friendly?
A. Our face material is recyclable (as its paper) and manufactured from sustainable
sources, the backing is silicon which is not recyclable, but throughout production
we also look to reduce the impact on the environment and any waste is kept to
an absolute minimum.
Q. Your labels are really sticky do you offer an alternative?
A. Our standard stock laser labels are a permanent adhesive labels, we do offer
a removable adhesive label (peelable) which when stuck can be peeled away and
also a freezer adhesive. Contact
us for more information.
Q. I stick my labels to recycled boxes;
can I apply A4 laser labels to other products?
A. Our A4 stock laser labels & inkjet laser have a strong permanent adhesive,
which is great for most types of packaging, and many other surfaces.
Q. What is the best way to feed label
sheets into my printer?
A. Most printer manufacturers recommend that labels be fed into their machine
narrow edge leading. This is the only option for most small office printers or
printers that we might have at home. Some larger machines give the option to
run paper narrow or wide edge leading, but with labels it is still best to run
them narrow edge leading.
Q. Will the laser labels be the same as
my last order?
A.Absolutely, we source the same high speed laser guaranteed paper directly from
the mill every time because our product works so efficiently, why change something
when it is perfect. There can be slight variations from batch to batch but these
will not affect the way the labels run.
Q. How do I get the best out of my A4
laser labels?
A. Simple, a few easy steps:
Depending on your printer make and model you
can tell it via your printing software or the printers
control panel that you want to run laser labels.
Setting you machine up in this way will help to
ensue best possible results & reliability.
Due to the” sandwich” like construction of label material
it is important that your latest delivery is allowed
to “Acclimatise” to
your local conditions for approx 48 hours. To do
this just keep the sheets in the boxes and inner
bags they came in. And positioned close to the
printer in which they will be used. Avoid storing near direct heat
sources such as radiator, widows etc.
Stack the boxes no more than 5 high.
If you have bulk storage that is not adjacent to
the printer, this is ok, but always allow the product time to acclimatise
before printing as detailed above. In bulk storage the product can
tolerate quite wide ranging temperatures of 5 to 30Deg C without
suffering any permanent damage.
Before loading the next wad of labels to your printer
don’t be frightened to handle them. Flexing and fanning will
help the sheets feed and run more reliably..
Q. I have heard that recycled toners can
be a problem with labels?
A. Yes this is true, the label industry as recommends using original
toners for the very best results. The most likely
problem you may experience from recycled toners
is poor toner adhesion. (Toner has not been properly
fused, leading to smudging and poor image quality).
Q. How easy is it to set up the print
for your labels?
A. Most of our label layouts are compatible we
the pre-formatted layouts contained within Microsoft Word, Access,
Excel etc and many other software programs And then it’s usually
a case of identifying the label size and number on the sheet and
away you go!
Q. Do you put any of your own advertising on the paper?
A. Definitely not, we feel this spoils the product, as we want you to promote
your business and reflect the professional transactions to your clients. All
our stock laser label sheets are plain high white. A back print can also be a
problem if you need to photocopy a sheet, as the back print will often show through
enough to mark the copy. On special orders we can print “which way” the
labels need to be feed, or loaded in a printer, we do here of customers printing
up side down on the backing sheet.

A. There are some historical technical reasons why we have both but today the

opinions! The range guide shows whether the item has square or rounded corners!
Simply Butt cut have square corners, Die cut have round corners.

Q. What
is a Peelable adhesive? (REM)
A.Removable, or Non Permanent is a peelable adhesive which is probably
the best description is an adhesive who's design
purpose to enable the label to at some stage in its life to be removed from the
surface to which it was applied without damage to that surface. Ironically,
what we really want from a Non-Perm label is that
it sticks totally until that moment we want the label off, at which point we
would like it to fall off on its own!!! Sadly it’s not that easy and the
science of adhesives becomes the art or picking the right compromise,
between how well you want the label to stay on, versus how easily you
want to come off! Made much more complicated by the surface you are
applying it to, the way it’s applied and the environment
it then lives in!
The golden rule of Non Perm labels is try before
you buy! Make sure it will do what you want it to do with our samples
(available upon request)
White Paper with Removable adhesive
(REM)
A bright white, multifunction uncoated paper designed for ink jet,
laser, and photocopiers.
Face material properties
Grammage 70 gsm
Caliper (thickness) 90 microns
Adhesive
A low tack water based rubber removable adhesive
with applications on a varied range of surfaces,
the peel ability of the adhesive once applied depends on the material being
labelled, the surface shape, & the temperatures during application & storage.
Because of these factors it is always recommended
that testing is appropriate prior to usage. As it is a soft adhesive it
can become more permanent in colder conditions, which should be taken into
consideration. Stock removable adhesive is not recommended for plasticised
PVC, leather or suede. Adhesion to cardboard and polyethylene is good
and removability from polar surfaces e.g. glass is
good

Storage range once applied -30°C to +80°C

Q. How do waterproof labels work? (MWP) (MWPE) (GWP) (MTP) (GTP) (GTPP)
(GCP)
A.We are into how long is a piece of string territory here.... So you need a
label that could survive getting wet, so the next question is how long and under
what conditions! For a short period you can get away with some of our Semi Gloss
Paper (SGW) and in the other extreme you may want to label some chemicals
that fall under the requirements of BS5609, where the labels must withstand saltwater
immersion and abrasion testing as if they had been washed off a ship and
run up a beach! Our MWP & MWPE materials both meet BS5609

Q. What are the types of tear proof Labels? (MWP) (MWPE) (GWP) (MTP)
(GTP) (GTPP) (GCP)
A.As with waterproof, tear proof labels is slightly misleading in that anything
can be torn/split eventually but any of our plastic labels provide a good degree
of tear resistance at their die cut edges. However, if you need tear resistance
after the label is punctured then things are little trickier and a special material
may be required sometimes called Vinyl labels. MWP is very tear resistant in
both directions from a die cut edge. The MWPE material is softer and more inclined
to stretch before it tears; usually splits are worse down the long direction.
